The Mission of the Louisiana State Bar Association
The mission of the Louisiana State Bar Association is to assist and serve its members in the practice of law, assure access to and aid in the administration of justice, assist the Supreme Court in the regulation of practice of law, uphold the honor of the courts and the profession, promote the professional competence of attorneys, increase public understanding of and respect for the law, and encourage collegiality among its members.
Goals
- To identify the shared values and goals of our membership and use that information to increase participation, satisfaction and professional competence.
- To reenergize the House of Delegates as the Association's policy-making body.
- To identify and cultivate potential volunteers and leaders.
- To increase member participation through customization of products, programs and services.
- To increase career satisfaction among lawyers in order to ultimately increase professional competence.
- To advance the full implementation of the rule of law by achieving access to justice for all.
- To strengthen the relationship between the LSBA and the Judiciary.
- To ensure the participation of all minorities (ethnic, gender, geographic, etc.) in positions of leadership in the Association.
