Proposed Lawyer Advertising Rules (pre-06/28/2008)

  The Rules of Professional Conduct Committee

The Rules of Professional Conduct Committee has drafted proposed amendments to the Rules of Professional Conduct dealing with lawyer advertising and solicitation. The final version of those proposed rules has NOT yet been adopted but, by vote of the LSBA House of Delegates on June 7, 2007, will be recommended to the Louisiana Supreme Court for further study by the Court’s own Committee to Study Attorney Advertising. At this time, no implementation date has been established by the Court.

The Rules of Professional Conduct Committee has revised the original set of proposed rules, as of 12/18/2006, following an evaluation of comments received and recent changes made to the Florida rules on lawyer advertising. The Committee continues to invite written comments from the public on the newest proposal:
