LSBA Recognizes Legal Professionals, Law Firm, Law Students for Outstanding Pro Bono Achievements
NEW ORLEANS—The Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA), in conjunction with the Louisiana Supreme Court, recognized the pro bono accomplishments of 12 public interest legal professionals and law students and the employees of the New Orleans office of Adams and Reese, LLP, during the 22nd annual Pro Bono Awards Ceremony May 20 at the Louisiana Supreme Court Building in New Orleans.

Costonis Receives Louisiana State Bar Association’s Victory Award for Journal Article on “Eminent Domain”
NEW ORLEANS—John J. Costonis, chancellor-emeritus and professor of law at Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in Baton Rouge, is the 2008 recipient of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s (LSBA) Stephen T. Victory Memorial Award. The annual award is presented to the author of the Louisiana Bar Journal article deemed the most outstanding in the previous volume year.

New Orleans Attorney Receives 2008 Louisiana Bar Foundation’s Boisfontaine Award
NEW ORLEANS—Phillip A. Wittmann, a member of the Stone Pigman law firm in New Orleans, is the recipient of the 2008 Curtis R. Boisfontaine Trial Advocacy Award presented by the Louisiana Bar Foundation. Wittmann received a plaque June 12 during the Louisiana State Bar Association’s (LSBA) Annual Meeting in Florida and $1,000 will be donated in his name to a Louisiana nonprofit, law-related program or association of his choice.
