Federal Court Practice 2013 

Federal court rules and policies are essential to carrying out the mission of the federal Judiciary. The Judicial Conference of the United States is the national policy-making body for the federal courts. The federal rules of practice that are used in all federal courts, and the Code of Conduct for judges, which addresses matters of judicial ethics are all essential to court operations and maintaining a fair and impartial federal judiciary. Join DARREL J. PAPILLION, seminar chair, and a distinguished roster of speakers as they discuss the recent developments in Federal Civil Law and Procedure, Federal Criminal Law Issues, and Federal Subpoenas and Electronically Stored Information. Electronic program materials are accessible via a link where attendees can download/save OR download/print the seminar materials. The link will be sent to the email address of record you provided to the LSBA, prior to the seminar. We suggest you print the materials in advance and bring them with you. If you choose to review the materials from your laptop, we strongly suggest you save them to your desktop and charge your laptop battery, as electrical outlets may be limited. Internet access will not be available in the meeting room.

A printed manual can be purchased for an additional $40 and seminar materials on a flash drive can be purchased for $25. Be sure to make your selection by checking the appropriate box on the Registration Form.


Cancellation of registration must be received in writing by the LSBA no later than April 26. Cancellations will receive a full refund, less a $25 administrative charge. Absolutely no refunds will be made after April 26.
