Law School Essay Contest

Each year, law school students throughout Louisiana write essays on a topic provided by the chair of the Law School Essay Contest Committee.

Essays are due in the spring of each year. The first place winner will receive $1,000 from the Louisiana State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Council, plus the publication of the winning essay (bylined) in the official journal for the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Journal. One runner-up will also have his/her name and essay published in the Louisiana Bar Journal.
