Alumni Reception to be Held in Lafayette - August 29, 2014
A reception for Southern University Law Center Alumni will be held on Friday August 29 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lafayette Petroleum Club. The Petroleum Club is located at 111 Heymann Blvd, Lafayette, LA 70503.
The reception is timed to coincide with the UL Lafayette / Southern University game which will be held the following Saturday at Cajun Field in Lafayette. The purpose of this reception is to bring together alumni from the Acadiana area to discuss the potential of forming an Acadiana area SULC alumni chapter. All SULC Alumni and their guests are invited to attend the reception then cheer on the Jaguars when they face the Cajuns.
The Petroleum Club Reception is intended to be a kickoff event to form a satellite Southern University Law Center Alumni Chapter in Lafayette. Potential long term goals of a Lafayette SULC Alumni chapter may include facilitating community service projects here in Lafayette, fundraising to support for a public service summer stipend for SULC student(s), and creating networking opportunities among local SULC alumni.
