LSBA Minority Involvement Section Hosting Virtual Internship Fair; Deadline March 28th to Register & Upload Resumes

Louisiana State Bar Association Minority Involvement Section has decided to convert its fifth annual Minority Legal Internship Fair to a "virtual" fair rather than to host an "in person" fair.

Although this year's Fair is "virtual," no other FREE venue in Louisiana offers employers such a large pool of talented students with diverse backgrounds who are offering themselves for free or modestly-paid internships during all or part of the summer.

As a virtual internship fair, there will NOT be any "in person" activities, interviews, or information tables. Similarly, there will NOT be a diversity networking lunch. However, the LSBA Minority Involvement Section will actively assist employers in locating students to fill positions within their organizations and will provide resumes to all registered employers. All internship fair employers will receive a link to the students' resumes by March 31st. Employers may interview -- at their convenience -- the students with whom they are interested. The Minority Involvement Section is confident that the virtual fair affords the most fiscally responsible and prudent means by which to achieve this year's goals.

ALL REGISTERED EMPLOYERS WILL RECEIVE RESUMES BY MARCH 31ST. Additional accommodations can be made for those employers who want an interview list or assistance connecting with students who live in particular areas or who have particular experiences. Interested 1L, 2L, and 3L law students should update their profiles and upload resumes by March 28th.

To receive additional information or a customized approach to connecting with diverse, talented students, please contact Kelly McNeil Legier (Kelly.Legier@lsba.org; 504-619-0129) or Christine Richard (crichard@lsba.org; 504-619-0105).
