Jeffrey A. Riggs

Jeffrey A. Riggs is a partner in the Lafayette firm of Preis & Roy, A.P.L.C. He received a BS degree in business/accounting in 1983 from Indiana University and his JD degree in 1986 from Indiana University Law School (associate editor, Indiana Law Review; National Order of Barristers; Dean Frandon Award). He was admitted to practice in Louisiana in 1986 and in Texas in 2005.

Jeff is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s House of Delegates (15th Judicial District), the Client Assistance Fund Committee and the Bar Governance Committee.

He is a member of the Acadiana Society for Human Resource Management, the Duhe Inn of Court (master) and the Maritime Law Association of the United States (proctor).

In his community, he is a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Krewe of Rio. He received the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year Award in 2001. He is an associate faculty member of the University of Phoenix.

Jeff and his wife, Colin Neblett Riggs (from Alexandria), have been married for 24 years. He is the father of four children.
