Court Rules Committee’s Proposed Amendments to La. District Court Rules Posted Online; Comments Sought


The Court Rules Committee has posted its latest proposed amendments to the Louisiana District Court Rules on the Louisiana Supreme Court’s website.

The proposed amendments will appear on the website for 30 days (which began March 21). Interested parties who wish to comment on the proposed changes during the 30-day period may do so via email, fax or U.S. Mail.

Comments may be emailed to: distctrules@lasc.org.

Comments may be faxed to the Court Rules Committee at (504)310-2606.

Comments may be mailed to: Court Rules Committee, Louisiana Supreme Court, Ste. 1190, 400 Royal St., New Orleans, LA 70130.

Once the 30-day period has expired, the Court Rules Committee will review all comments, make any changes it deems appropriate, and then submit a final draft to the Louisiana Supreme Court for review and approval. All approved amendments will take effect on June 1, 2014.
