This will be the last LSBA Annual Meeting where Chief
Justice Pascal F. Calogero, Jr. will address the House of Delegates before he
retires and we are planning events in his honor.
After graduating from Loyola Law School, Chief Justice Calogero served in the United States Army (1954-57), and as law clerk to the judges of Orleans Parish Civil District Court. From 1958 to 1972, he engaged in the private practice of law.
The Chief took his first oath as Associate Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court on Jan. 10, 1973. He was re-elected in 1974, 1988 and 1998, and he was sworn in as Chief Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court on April 9, 1990.
Members who have attended the Annual Meeting in the past already know that Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the perfect destination for the LSBA’s many business sessions and social events. Continuing LSBA’s family-friendly format, we will include the Guy Wootan Memorial 5K Run/Walk, a golf tournament and a children’s carnival and cookout on Friday, June 13th during the LSBA Champions party. We look forward to welcoming members to Sandestin for the 67th Annual Meeting.
