HOW TO REGISTER:  ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.  Registration is possible at the conference with $350 check and completed registration form.  
ACCOMMODATIONS:  The LSBA recommends that attendees requiring accommodations use hotels.com as soon as possible to locate reservations at your price range and at the hotel of your choice.  (As of 1/14/15, many nearby room options exist through hotels.com).

Ari Kaplan, Esq.: Ari's high energy presentations will undoubtedly up your marketing game and get the business end of your law practice humming.  A prolific author, Ari's first book The Opportunity Maker: Strategies for Inspiring Your Legal Career Through Creative Networking and Business Development (Thomson-West, 2008) was called by the New York Law Journal, a “must-have treasure box of marketing ideas,” and CEOs have described his new book, Reinventing Professional Services: Building Your Business in the Digital Marketplace (Wiley, 2011), also released in Japanese, “an essential guide” that “expertly showcases the multitude of opportunities the digital age has brought to the professional services market.” After practicing for nine years with firms in New York, he is now a leading industry analyst in the legal community. He has been the keynote speaker for events in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and throughout the U.S., and has shared ideas with students and professionals worldwide.  Ari has also received multiple Apex Awards for feature writing, and has been recognized in the Wall Street Journal’s Law Blog, the Chicago Tribune, the Miami Herald, the New York Post, the ABA Journal, Above the Law, the National Jurist, the Chicago Lawyer, and the California Recorder, among other publications. Michael Rubin, Esq.: Mike's presentations are "must see" events which leave you with things to think about.  He is a man of many talents.  He heads the Appellate Practice Team of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC, and is a past-President of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Southern Conference of Bar Presidents, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Bar Association of the U.S. Fifth Circuit, and the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He is also an author of, co-author of, and contributing writer to more than a dozen legal books and over forty articles.  He has presented over 400 major papers in the U.S., Canada, and England on legal ethics, finance, appellate law, real estate, and legal writing. Mike’s latest legal book, on Louisiana finance and real estate, is THE LOUISIANA LAW OF SECURITY DEVICES, A PRÉCIS (Lexis/Nexis). Mike has dipped his hand in fictional writing with his first novel, a legal thriller, entitled THE COTTONCREST CURSE, published by LSU Press and released nationally in September, 2014. Publishers Weekly calls THE COTTONCREST CURSE a “gripping debut mystery”; the Southern Literary Review praises it as a “thoroughly researched” thriller that “takes readers on an epic journey” written in style of “literary fiction”; and the Chicago CBA Record says not only that the “story is gripping, the writing is masterful,” but also that “Rubin has struck ‘gold’ in his debut novel.”

Catherine Sanders Reach:  She's baaack!  By popular demand!  A seasoned LSBA Solo & Small Firm Conference presenter, Catherine will bring new topics and tips which you find immediately uesful to your practice.  Catherine is the director of the Law Practice Management and Technology for the Chicago Bar Association (& former director of ABA's acclaimed Legal Technology Resource Center).  A prolific author, Catherine has also written for Law Practice Magazine, Law Technology News and GPSolo Magazine.  In demand, she speaks at bar events throughout US and Canada via live presentations, webinars and podcasts.  She is currently an ABA TECHSHOW planning board members and is on the editorial board for the Law Technology News.
