SUPERWOMEN -- Female Attorneys Challenging the Rules of the Game at Home, at Work, and in Alternative Practices
An all female attorney CLE was held on April 24, 2009 at the Hotel InterContinental. It was hosted by the LSBA, Association for Women Attorneys - New Orleans Chapter and The New Orleans Bar Association.

This seminar addressed the unique challenges women face in the legal profession. Topics included (1) Can I Have It All, Including My Sanity?, (2) Why Should We Help? Leadership and Community Involvement, (3) Show Us The Money: Rainmaking 101, and (4) Running with the Wolves and Big Dogs Without Running Away: Surviving the Practice of Law From the Female Point of View.

The speakers included the following: Johanna G. Averill, Hon. Carolyn Gill-Jefferson (ret.), Angel Kehoe, Kelly M. Rabalais, Elizabeth L. Voss, Cheryl Prestenback Buchert, Kim M. Boyle, Patricia A. Krebs, Tania C. Tetlow, Sharonda R. Williams, Donna D. Fraiche, Margaret A. (Peggy) LeBlanc, Donna G. Klein, Leigh Ann Schell, LaKeisha N. Jefferson, Nannette Jolivette Brown, Darleen M. Jacobs, Mary L. Dumestre, Kim E. Moore, and Kelly McNeil Legier.

Attendees consisted of over 140 female attorneys from all over the State of Louisiana and from as far away as Illinois, Washington, Atlanta, and Ohio.

Following the CLE was a networking luncheon, during which attendees received free chances for a drawing to win several door prizes, including spa treatments from Duke Morgan Spa, located in New Orleans, a spa gift package from The Flourless Bakery out of Ponchatoula, and gift certificates to Avalon Spa & Nails in New Orleans at the Riverwalk Mall.
