MINI DIVERSITY CONCLAVE IN LAKE CHARLES A HUGE SUCCESS!
The LSBA partnered with the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association and the Louis A. Martinet Lake Charles Chapter to host a FREE Mini Diversity Conclave for a very diverse audience of approximately 60 attorneys and judges in Lake Charles on April 16, 2010. The program began with a networking lunch, featuring keynote speaker LSBA President Kim M. Boyle. At the conclusion of lunch, Hon. Randell E. "Randy" Roach (Mayor of Lake Charles) presented Boyle with a key to the city. Attendees then received a lesson on the scope of diversity, which includes much more than race and gender and those characteristics visible on a person's exterior. The attendees later received enlightening information from two panels on the importance of diversity and the practical implications of diversity.
