2011 LAKE CHARLES MINI DIVERSITY CONCLAVE PROVIDED BEST PRACTICE TIPS!!!
The LSBA partnered with the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, the Louis A. Martinet Lake Charles Chapter, and the Louisiana Association of Black Women Attorneys to host a FREE Mini Diversity Conclave in Lake Charles occurred for nearly 50 attorneys and judges on April 8, 2011, at Reeves Uptown Catering. Attorney and Consultant Jane Pigott facilitated a practical discussion that helped participants identify best practices that they could implement within their offices to recruit diverse candidates (especially those of different generations) and make the Ulysses "Gene" Thibodeaux moderated a discussion regarding diversity and inclusion issues among Jeremy M. Bolton (associate, Irwin Fritchie Urquhart & Moore LLC), Percy P. McCraney (Amerisafe, Inc.), and Hon. Martha A. O'Neal (judge, 36th Judicial District Court, Division A).
