Passing of One of the Founders of the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society
On January 7, 2010, Vanue B. Lacour passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a legal giant for civil rights in Louisiana. He was one of the founding members of the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society. He also served as Dean of Southern University Law Center in the early 1970's and was on the original faculty for the Law Center.

The funeral services for Mr. Lacour will be Friday, January 14, 2011, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1565 Curtis St, Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will occur from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Southern Memorial Gardens. The family requests donations to the Immaculate Conception Food Bank be made in lieu of flowers.
