Urban League of New Orleans Honored Retiring Judge Joan Armstrong During its Annual Gala
The Urban League honored Hon. Joan Bernard Armstrong (Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal, who is retiring at the end of this year, at its annual Gala on July 16, 2011. Former LSBA President Kim M. Boyle served as the toastmaster for Judge Armstrong during the Gala. Judge Armstrong is the longest serving African American judge in the state of Louisiana and has been a trailblazer for many African American attorneys and female attorneys.
