Dillard University's Founders Day keynote address was delivered by the Honorable Carl E. Stewart of the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on November 20, 2011. Founders' Day served as the second annual Justice Revius O. Ortique, Jr. Lecture on Law and Society. This lecture was established in 2010 to honor the life and work of the late Justice Ortique who fought for civil rights in our nation's courts and always gave back to his community.
