Justice Community Disaster Response - Disaster Legal Hotline
At the center of the disaster legal efforts is the activation of a disaster legal hotline. The Louisiana Civil Justice Center agreed to host the ABA/YLD FEMA disaster legal hotline. Members of the ATJ Disaster Planning Subcommittee and ATJ Community have worked with the LCJC Director Jane Thomas to ready the hotline to respond to the expected increased volume of calls. The hotline number is (800) 310-7029 and the staff and volunteers will be taking calls from 9 - 5 Monday through Thursday and 9-noon on Friday.

The hotline will provide legal advice and services for individuals who reside in parishes affected by the hurricane (insert names or link) on issues including (insert list or link to) Callers can receive answers to legal questions and how to get aid, as well as referrals to attorneys.
