Justice Community Disaster Response - Disaster Training Manual
The questions that callers have usually cover a variety of subjects including rights to benefits, landlord-tenant issues, and some family law. A little rusty in these areas? Don't worry - the training manual created for volunteer attorneys after Hurricane Katrina is being updated for use post-Gustav and Ike. It includes extensive outlines on these subjects. This publication will be used by volunteers at the hotline and FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers. Many thanks to Greg Landry at Acadiana Legal Services for leading the effort to update the manual.
