Practitioners are increasingly aware of the unique challenges and opportunities in the realm of appellate practice. Join seminar co-chairs HON. JAMES E. KUHN (Ret.), ROY C. CHEATWOOD and JAMES M. GARNER, five sitting appellate judges and seasoned veterans of the appellate bar for an informative, practical examination of appellate practice in Louisiana state courts. Esteemed judges from the Louisiana First, Third, and Fourth Circuits will discuss what works (and what doesn’t work) in the areas of writ practice, standard of review of appeals, brief-writing, and oral argument. Additionally, two panelists will explore a need for standard of review of writs in Louisiana. Don’t miss this timely topic! Click FLYER to download the seminar flyer.

The link will be sent to the email address of record you provided to the LSBA, prior to the seminar. We suggest you print the materials in advance and bring them with you.
