For two days, public interest advocates will come together to learn, network, and collaborate with justice community members from around the state. In addition to regular conference programming, we will distribute two Civil Legal Aid Awards to recognize colleagues who have developed innovative ways of delivering legal services and provided exemplary service to those most in need.


Eligibility:

As always, the Louisiana State Bar Association is proud to provide the conference for civil legal aid attorneys working fulltime with a qualified program. The event is by invitation only. To be eligible to attend free-of-charge, you must be employed full-time by a qualified civil legal aid provider (see list). To be eligible to attend the CINC Pre-Conference free-of-charge, you must be employed full-time by or provide contract CINC services to a qualified civil legal aid provider (see list).


Important Deadlines to Avoid Fees:

REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 6, 2019

• Registration BEFORE 4:30 PM, September 6, 2019 is free, by invitation only.

• Registration AFTER 4:30 PM, September 6, 2019 is $150.00, by invitation only, with no exceptions.

CANCEL BY SEPTEMBER 27, 2019

• Cancellations made BEFORE 4:30 PM September 27, 2019 will not incur any charges. Please email jordan.maier@lsba.org to notify of any changes or cancellations.

• Cancellations made AFTER 4:30 PM September 27, 2019 will incur a room cancellation charge of $150.

• Failure to check into requested accommodations will incur a room cancellation charge of $150.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION about the Registration Process

You will be asked to submit your registration through your LSBA member account using your Bar Number and Password. If you do not have a bar number, please contact Jordan Maier at jordan.maier@lsba.org to register.

After submitting your registration, you will receive a confirmation email to the address you provided during registration. This email will include a link to your itemized receipt and confirmation number.

YOU MUST HAVE THIS CONFIRMATION NUMBER TO SIGN-IN THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

ALSC attorneys should provide their confirmation number to Gwen Angelle at gangelle@la-law.org after registering.


CINC Pre-Conference

In addition to the regularly scheduled programming, the conference will also offer a CINC pre-conference (by invitation only) on Thursday, October 10. If you would like to register for this event, simply add the item to your shopping cart during registration. CINC pre-conference attendees should also register for the Thursday Networking Lunch if they are not making other plans for lunch that day.


Civil Legal Aid Awards - Nominations Now Closed

Two Civil Legal Aid Awards will be distributed at the Conference on Friday, October 11, recognizing colleagues or organizations who have developed innovative ways of delivering legal services, or provided exemplary service to those most in need. Nominations are now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination.


Important Notes about Conference Materials

• Electronic program materials will be downloadable from this posting closer to the conference date. We suggest you print needed materials in advance and bring them with you, if you prefer to have hard copies.
• If you choose to review the materials from your laptop, make sure to download them ahead of time, as internet access may not be available in the meeting rooms. Also be sure to fully charge your laptop battery, as electrical outlets may be limited.

Hotel rooms for Thursday are now FULL. Email Jordan Maier at jordan.maier@lsba.org to be placed on the waitlist. In the event of a cancellation, reservations will be made from the waitlist in the order they were received.
