Volunteer Opportunities Open for 2020 Suit Up for the Future Program The 2020 summer program for high school students interested in the legal profession is scheduled for June 15-26 and July 6-10.The Suit Up for the Future Program is available to incoming high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who are interested in the legal profession. Students participate in a three-week legal institute, during which they attend an abridged law school session, field trips to law schools and courts, and an internship consisting of shadowing at area law offices and courts. Legal professionals may participate in two ways: • Speaking Opportunities. Attorneys are invited to volunteer their time from noon-1 p.m. to talk to the students about legal careers. • Shadowing Opportunities. Students are assigned to “shadow” attorneys at firms, courts and organizations during the second week of the program. This is a great opportunity for students to see for themselves what attorneys do on a daily basis; and to spend one-on-one time with attorneys in the workforce.
