LSBA Pilot Mentoring Program Expanded: More Mentors Needed!

The LSBA Committee on the Profession’s "Transition into Practice" (TIP) mentor program for new admittees has been expanded statewide.

Already numerous mentor and mentee pairings have successfully occurred for those lawyers admitted in 2014, 2015 and 2016.  New pairings for 2017 admittees from all corners of the state are being made all the time so new mentors are needed.

Through the program, approved by the Louisiana Supreme Court and sponsored by CNA/Gilsbar, new lawyers admitted into practice will be paired with mentors (one on one) to assist in learning how to be professional lawyers representing the ideals of the LSBA. Mentors must be in good standing, have no public disciplinary history and must have at least 10 years of experience. Mentors can receive up to 6 hours of free CLE credit by volunteering.

To learn more about the program or to register as a mentor, go to: https://www.lsba.org/Mentoring/ or contact Connie Sabio at Connies@lsba.org.
