Supreme Court Issues Order Allowing Lawyers to Earn CLE Credit for Pro Bono Work Effective May 1, every lawyer who does pro bono work can earn up to three hours of CLE credit each year, under an order signed by Louisiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson. Under the new rule, attorneys who provide pro bono legal representation can earn one hour of CLE credit for every five hours of pro bono representation, up to a maximum of three hours of CLE credit per year.
