More Volunteers Needed to Judge State High School Mock Trial Competition March 12


Attorneys and judges are needed as presiding judges, scoring judges and timekeepers for the State High School Mock Trial Competition Saturday, March 12, in Baton Rouge. 

The winner of the State High School Mock Trial Competition earns the opportunity to represent Louisiana in the National High School Mock Trial Competition.

The competition will be conducted at the 19th Judicial District Courthouse (300 North Blvd., Baton Rouge). Rounds are scheduled for 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Presiding judges will rule on objections from the bench, evaluate the admissibility of evidence and preside over the trial. Scoring judges will evaluate and score the performance of each student-attorney and each student-witness. Timekeepers will monitor the time during the competition.
