Comments Sought on Proposed Amendments to Louisiana District Court Rules


The Louisiana Supreme Court’s Court Rules Committee has posted its latest proposed amendments to the Louisiana District Court Rules on the Louisiana Supreme Court’s website. The 30-day comment period began on March 29.

Interested parties may send comments on the proposed changes via electronic mail, facsimile or U.S. mail. Direct emails to: distctrules@lasc.org. Fax comments to the Court Rules Committee at (504)310-2606. Mail comments to: Court Rules Committee, Louisiana Supreme Court, Ste. 1190, 400 Royal St., New Orleans, LA 70130. 

The proposed amendments, as well as a summary of the proposed amendments, may be reviewed online: http://www.lasc.org.

Once the 30-day period has expired, the Court Rules Committee will review all comments, make any changes it deems appropriate and then submit a final draft to the Louisiana Supreme Court for review and approval. All approved amendments will take effect on June 1, 2018.
