Search Tips

  • A basic search does not require that you select dates or location. The calendar defaults to include ALL courses available until the end of the year. To narrow your search, choose either Live or Computer CLE and click on the date fields to select a beginning and end date for your search query. You can further narrow by choosing an area of law.
  • Looking for a particular sponsor? Click in the Sponsor field and then start typing the sponsor name. Avoid abbreviations unless they are part of the sponsor's name, such as "LSU" or "NAACP". Available sponsors will populate automatically. Select by clicking on the name.
  • Looking for a course in a particular location? Type the name of the city in the City/Format field.
Remember- if you search "New Orleans," you may miss courses held in neighboring cities, such as Metairie. Search by state first and narrow it down to a city later if necessary.
  • Looking for professionalism? Select under the Law Area"Ethics and Professionalism". The second set of numbers in the last column ("Eth/Prof/LPM Credits") denotes how much professionalism credit is available for each course.
  • Looking for a specific course topic? Search by Keyword. For example, to search for a course on cloud computing, type "cloud" and hit search.
  • Event duration indicates the first date a course is available. If it is Live, then the first date will be the start date for the course. If it is On Demand, then the course is available for a one year time span. The first available day is the start date of the On Demand course. The end date is the last day before the course accreditation ends. You can access specific On Demand courses anytime during the start and end duration.
  • Looking for a specific Computer CLE format? Type "Teleconference", "On Demand", "Webcast", or "Telecon/Webcast" in the City/Format field.

Computer CLE Format Descriptions

  • On Demand
a course held via computer, available 24/7 in a 365 day time span.
  • Teleconference
a course held via telephone on a specific date, at a specific time.
  • Telecon/Webcast
a course held via telephone and computer on a specific date, at a specific time.
  • Webcast
a course held via computer on a specific date, at a specific time.

Remember, there is a four (4) hour limitation on technologically assisted programming - any programming offered via Computer CLE format. The course might be listed for longer than four hours, but only four hours will count toward your total MCLE requirement. Any hours over the limitation will be automatically deducted from your transcript.
