Shannon Seiler Dartez is a personal injury and workers’ compensation attorney with The Glenn Armentor Law Corporation in Lafayette. Before exclusively representing the injured, her primary practice was focused in workers’ compensation and intentional tort defense. She has served as counsel for employers, third-party administrators, self-insured funds and insurers and has tried workers’ compensation cases in all districts in the state.

She received a BA degree in 1990 from Louisiana State University and her JD degree in 1994 from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She was admitted to practice in Louisiana in 1994.

Dartez served on the Louisiana State Bar Association’s (LSBA) Board of Governors as the Third Board District representative from 2017-20. She is a member of the LSBA House of Delegates and the LSBA’s Insurance Committee. She is the recipient of the 2002 LSBA Young Lawyers Division’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award.

She is a 20-plus-year Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation and previously chaired the Jock Scott Acadiana Community Partnership Panel. She is a former president of the Lafayette Bar Association, a former president of the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association and a graduate of the Leadership Institute of Acadiana’s Leadership Lafayette Program.

In 2016, she was appointed to the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council by Gov. John Bel Edwards and remains an active member.

She is an AV-rated preeminent attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as an Acadiana Profile Top Lawyer and a Lawyer of Distinction for workers’ compensation.

In her community, she is a former president of the board of directors for Healing House/Hope for Grieving Children and a longtime member of the Junior League of Lafayette, where she served on the board of directors, chaired committees and was president in 2013-14. She volunteers regularly with Sacred Heart Church.

She has two children.
