Conclave Highlights

  • Kim M. Keenan, President and CEO of MMTC (Multicultural Media, Telecom & Internet Council)
  • Freedom Riders, a traveling exhibition developed by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, in partnership with American Experience; funded through the National Endowment for Humanities.
  • Judge Wendell L. Griffen will facilitate an interactive diversity workshop titled "Inclusion 8."

 CLE Sessions on the following topics:


  • Criminal Law Panel Discussion: "Moving the Pendulum to Justice, Fairness and Accountability" moderated by the Honorable Kern A. Reese, the Chief Judge of the Orleans Parish Civil Court. 
  • LGBT Breakout Session - "The Changing Landscape and Effects of Marriage Equality"
  • Immigration Breakout Session - "Navigating the Troubled Waters of Immigration"
  • Civil Rights Panel Discussion, featuring Hank Thomas, one of the thirteen original Freedom Riders and A.P. Tureaud, Jr., the first African-American to enroll as an undergraduate student at LSU.  The discussion, titled "Just How Far Has the Pendulum Moved? Striving for Justice,"  will be moderated by the Honorable Roland L. Belsome, Jr., of the Louisiana Court of Appeal for the Fourth Circuit.
