Lending Library Policy
1. Who may borrow materials?
Only Louisiana State Bar Association members in good standing may borrow materials.
2. Is there any cost associated to the service?
There is no cost if the item is checked out in person at the Bar Center. If the item is not checked out in person, the shipping charge is $5.00 per item. Please contact Lucia Anderson (504.619.0153; email@example.com
) to the arrangements. If the item is lost or not returned, the attorney will receive an invoice for the cost of replacement.
3. How can a member borrow materials?
Members should review the list of item titles in the Lending Libary at http://www.lsba.org/2007MemberServices/lpm-lending_library.asp
. To borrow an item, the member must fill out the lending library form available online or in person at the Bar Center. Contact Lucia Anderson (504.619.0153; firstname.lastname@example.org
4. If I choose to pick up the books at the Bar Center to avoid the shipping charge, how long will the LSBA hold the books for me?
Three days. After three days, if the books have not been picked up, they will be returned to the library.
5. How long can I borrow an item?
Items may be borrowed for three weeks. If the item is not timely returned or lost, the Louisiana State Bar Association will send an invoice to the attorney for the cost of replacement.
Items are to be returned to: Louisiana State Bar Association; Attn: Lending Library; 601 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, La. 70130. Because of potential delay in mail service there will be a two (2) to three (3) day grace period in the return of all resource materials.
6. How often are items added to the Lending Library?
Items are added to the Lending Libary throughout the year. The Lending Library list of titles is updated regularly.
