Oct. 23 “Day of Service” Legal Programs Set at Parish Libraries Statewide Attorneys across Louisiana will participate in the LSBA’s “Lawyers in Libraries” statewide “Day of Service” on Oct. 23. Volunteers will provide the public with legal workshops and “Ask-a-Lawyer” consultations at public libraries in every parish in the state. The event is offered in partnership with the Louisiana Library Association as part of an ongoing initiative to deliver information and resources to the public at local libraries. The service will provide much-needed assistance to the public and highlight the hundreds of thousands of pro bono hours donated by LSBA members each year. This Day of Service also supports Louisiana’s participation in the National Pro Bono Celebration Week (Oct. 19-25).
