From the LSBA President: South Carolina Flood Relief Efforts Pardon the interruption, but I would like all members to be aware that the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) and the Louisiana Bar Foundation (LBF) are currently working with the leadership and staff of the South Carolina Bar to support its disaster relief efforts. LSBA Section Council Chair Val Exnicios is coordinating our response, with the support of Past LSBA Presidents Marta-Ann Schnabel, Jay Zainey and Frank Neuner, along with Graham Ryan, Louisiana’s representative on the American Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division’s Disaster Legal Services Program. The SOLACE Program and our Access to Justice Department began offering resources yesterday, but further assistance will be needed. The LSBA will continue to update members with more options available to offer individual assistance and support. Information will be provided via online and social media options, as well as updates from the SOLACE Program. In the meantime, if you would like to offer financial assistance, go to this link: http://raisingthebar.org/Orders/ProductStage.asp?ProductID=118. Please join me in extending our thoughts and prayers to all those impacted by the recent flooding. Sincerely, Mark A. Cunningham President, Louisiana State Bar Association
