ATJ Commission Launches Second Legal Help Access Point in Concordia

On August 18, 2022, the Louisiana Access to Justice Commission hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the launch of the second Legal Help Access Point in the state, located in the Concordia Parish Library in Vidalia.

The Access Point allows users to: get access to Self-Help resources and automated court forms; find out if you qualify for free legal aid; get customized legal help and referrals through the Louisiana Bar Foundation and Lagniappe Law Lab’s Civil Legal Navigator; meet virtually with an attorney in a confidential enclosed space; attend a virtual hearing with participating courts via an online court program.

This project would not be possible without the support and hard work of the Justice For All Project Steering Committee Members, the library leadership and staff, and the 6th JDC. The next Legal Help Access Point locations coming soon are:

  • Concordia Parish Library - Ferriday Branch
  • LaSalle Community Action Association in Catahoula Parish
