Transition Into Practice (TIP) Voluntary Mentoring Program

Transition Into Practice (TIP) Voluntary Mentoring Program

Mentor Registration Application

As the Supreme Court has formally approved the Transition into Practice Program for new admitees commencing in January, 2015, the LSBA through its Committee on the Profession is implementing the program now. It will be available to those admitted into practice in 2014 in Baton Rouge, Shreveport and greater New Orleans. The program will match one mentor with a mentee. Steps are now underway to have prospective mentors sign up. Further information about the program and mentor qualifications can be obtained from the web site or contacting the Committee’s chair Barry Grodsky at 504-599-8535. Even if a prospective mentor does not live or practice in these areas they are still encouraged to sign up as the goal is to soon have the program available state wide. Mentors as will also receive CLE credit for their participation. This is an excellent opportunity to assist a newly admitted attorney and the bar certainly appreciates all volunteers.
