Remarks On Professionalism Orientation At Louisiana Law Schools
The Louisiana State Bar Association’s Committee on the Profession hosts a series of professionalism orientations for first-year law students. The orientations, conducted in August at each of the state’s four law schools, are a permanent part of the orientation process for entering students. The purpose of the program is to introduce the concept of professionalism by having veteran attorneys lead groups of aspiring lawyers in a practical discussion of lawyer professionalism. Mark. A. Cunningham opened each orientation with a speech on the honor of the legal profession and the value system of lawyers.
