Under Rule 7.7, lawyers are obligated to file ALL non-exempt advertisements and unsolicited written communications with the LSBA Rules of Professional Conduct Committee, through LSBA Ethics Counsel, prior to or concurrent with first use/dissemination of the advertisement/communication.

Legislative Advocacy
The LSBA takes bill positions through a three-step process which involves its 25 member Legislation Committee and its 22 member Board of Governors (BOG). The Legislation Committee derives its authority from the House of Delegates.

The LSBA Opinions Service allows members to obtain the latest opinions released from Louisiana appellate courts (first, second, third, fourth and fifth circuits) and the Louisiana Supreme Court.
