The Blood and Guts of the Law: Exploring Practical Issues in Medical Malpractice and Healthcare Litigation

Medical Malpractice litigators are familiar with medical treatment gone wrong. During the course of treatment, preventable accidents, whether negligent or accidental, leave patients injured. Patients and health care providers alike are faced with the task of case investigation and litigation under the Medical Malpractice Act. The seminar will cover topics pertinent to the plaintiff and defendant, including the effective navigation of the Medical Review Panel process, strategies for case assessment and expert depositions and how to properly settle health care liens. Other topics, such as HIPAA/HITECH compliance and legal implications relating to the formation of health care business entities, will also be addressed. This seminar is a “must” for anyone practicing medical malpractice.
