Hosted by the Jefferson Parish Bar Association and the LSBA Access to Justice Commission’s Building Bridges Committee, this CLE is designed to educate volunteer attorneys on collateral consequences of incarceration, the implementation of a program designed to reduce barriers faced after incarceration, and step-by-step instructions on how to handle legal issues for Re-Entry Court participants that will increase public safety and reduce recidivism.

The LSBA Health Law Section will be hosting the 8th Annual Health Law Section CLE program on December 1, 2017, at Lula Restaurant - Distillery, 1532 St. Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70130.  The panel of speakers includes nationally known healthcare practitioners presenting on relevant topics including recent healthcare fraud and abuse trends, revocation of Medicare billing privileges, the influx of private equity in healthcare, and new payment and delivery challenges facing physicians.  The program will also include one hour of Ethics presented by Professor Joseph Procaccino, a professor at the Uniformed Services University for the Health Sciences (USUHS) and former Legal Advisor to the Surgeon General, United States Air Force.  Breakfast and lunch are included.  In addition, immediately following the CLE, the LSBA Health Law Section will be hosting a cocktail hour at Lula’s for the LSBA Health Law section members and speakers.
 
Space will be limited and advance registration is required.
