Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of the Louisiana State Bar Association
The Louisiana State Bar Association was created in 1941 by the Louisiana Supreme Court, acting upon authority granted to it by the Louisiana Legislature. The Association is governed in accordance with its Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
Amendments to the Articles of Incorporation require approval of the House of Delegates and the membership at large. Bylaws may be amended upon the approval of the House of Delegates.
