Todd S. Clemons is the founder of Todd Clemons & Associates in Lake Charles. His primary areas of practice are criminal defense, civil rights and civil litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette and his JD degree, magna cum laude, from Southern University Law Center. He was admitted to practice in Louisiana in 1987.

Clemons is a former assistant district attorney in Calcasieu Parish and a former federal prosecutor in the Western District of Louisiana. He also served as judge pro tempore in 14th Judicial District Court.

Clemons serves on the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board. Additionally, he formerly served on the Louisiana Supreme Court Committee on Bar Admissions as a Bar Examiner. He wrote and graded the criminal law, procedure and evidence portion of the exam.

Clemons is the president of the Sowela Foundation which raises funds for Sowela Community College in Lake Charles. He also served as president of the board of directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana. Clemons is a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He formerly served as the Ninth District Representative (presiding over a four-state region). A life-long member of Christian Baptist Church, Todd serves as the moderator and on the board of directors.

Todd and his wife, Stefanie Owens Clemons, have been married since 1987 and are the proud parents of two sons and they have three grandchildren.
