Amy J. Miller is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana where she serves in the Civil Division and represents the government in tort, immigration, bankruptcy, and other matters. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Miller was in private practice for over ten years with experience in insurance defense, commercial litigation, banking, property and mineral rights, and successions. Miller also served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Third Judicial District where she prosecuted felony cases and advised local public bodies.
Miller is a graduate of Louisiana State University-Shreveport and Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Arkansas. She is a former member of the Louisiana State Bar Association House of Delegates where she represented the Third Judicial District and a current member of the Lincoln Parish Bar Association and Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
In her community, Miller has served on the Board of Control for the Lincoln Parish Library and the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Monroe. She is a member of Trinity Methodist Church and enjoys the small town life in Ruston with her husband and son.
