Carrie LeBlanc Jones is a Health Law Specialist certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization and practices law in the Baton Rouge office of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, L.L.P. She advises clients on a broad range of issues, including regulatory and compliance, fraud and abuse, facility licensing, Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment, hospital governance, and medical staff matters such as credentialing, privileging and peer review.
In addition to her health care practice, Jones has significant experience in regulatory, administrative, and occupational licensure law. She previously served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for the Louisiana State Board of Nursing, where she managed licensure issues, disciplinary proceedings, administrative rulemaking, and legislative matters. In her current practice, she represents both licensing boards and individual licensees in administrative and disciplinary matters and advises academic institutions on issues involving research misconduct.
Jones has been an active leader in the LSBA. She has served on the 2022–25 Board of Governors and as chair of the 2020–21 Young Lawyers Division, having previously served as Young Lawyers Division chair-elect, secretary, immediate past chair, and District 5 representative. She played a key role in launching the inaugural Louisiana Young Lawyers Conference, co-chaired the Richard N. Ware High School Mock Trial Competition, and coordinated the YLD Professional Development Seminar. She has also served on the Louisiana Bar Journal Editorial Board and the Budget Committee. An alumna of the Leadership LSBA 2013–14 Class, she remains committed to mentoring new attorneys and law students through the LSBA’s Transition Into Practice Program and her firm’s summer clerkship and fellowship programs.
Her professional service includes appointments to the LABI Health Care Council, Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board, Louisiana Access to Justice Commission, Louisiana Bar Foundation Capital Area Community Partnership Panel, and Louisiana State Law Institute Council.
Outside of her professional work, Jones is active in her community. She is member of Leadership Baton Rouge Class of 2026. She is a parishioner of St. George Catholic Church, volunteers as a youth sports coach, and serves on the board of directors of Livingston Parish SADD. She and her husband, Aaron, have two children.
