LSBA Elections: Online Voting Open from Nov. 15-Dec. 13


First-round voting will begin on Nov. 15 for nine contested leadership positions for the Board of Governors, Nominating Committee, Young Lawyers Division Council, the American Bar Association House of Delegates and the Young Lawyers Representative to the ABA House of Delegates.

Balloting will be conducted electronically only, as approved by the LSBA Board of Governors and provided for in the Association’s Articles of Incorporation. No paper ballots will be provided.

Deadline for electronically casting votes is Monday, Dec. 13.

To review all candidates in Contested Races, as well as members who have been Certified Elected for their races, go to: https://www.lsba.org/BarGovernance/Elections.aspx.

Profiles on candidates in contested races will be accessible online on Nov. 15.

How To Vote Online:

Members will receive an email with their E-ballot on Monday, Nov. 15. The sender address will be “LSBA Election Admin” and the Subject Line will reference “Vote now in the LSBA 2021-2022 Election.” The email will include a link to the voting website. On the voting website, members must type in their 5-digit member ID number and birth date to access the ballot. Ballots will only include races for which the member may cast a vote. Members who do not have an email address, or members preferring to vote from the LSBA website, may log-in from the LSBA website to a special page and will be asked to enter the same credentials. The “Vote Now” icon will be active from Nov. 15 through Dec. 13.
