Attorney Arbitrator Volunteers Sought for LSBA Lawyer Fee Dispute Resolution Program

Coordinators for the Louisiana State Bar Association’s (LSBA) Lawyer Fee Dispute Resolution Program are seeking more attorney arbitrator volunteers to handle cases. Bar members who are interested are asked to complete and submit an online Attorney Arbitrator Form, available at: https://www.lsba.org/documents/PublicResources/ARBITRATORFORM.pdf.

Arbitration training for the program will be provided at a later date. The program was formed to resolve legal fee disputes between attorneys and clients as well as between attorneys and other lawyers.

More information on the program (including a downloadable form, rules and general guidelines) can be accessed online at: https://www.lsba.org/Public/FeeDisputeResolution.aspx.

For more information, contact LSBA Practice Management Counsel Shawn L. Holahan at (504)619-0153 or email shawn.holahan@lsba.org. The LSBA cannot give legal advice or represent anyone in their fee dispute.
