Several Courts Issue New Orders Regarding Court Proceedings Due to COVID-19 Considering the resurgence of the coronavirus by the omicron variant in Louisiana, several courts have begun to issue orders regarding court proceedings and new COVID-19 protocols. This includes several orders suspending juror service and jury trials. Jurors who were scheduled to report will be deferred to a later date.
