The Business of Mediation – How to Build a Mediation Practice
This webinar will discuss mediation as a profession. Most lawyers know that in order to serve as a mediator, they need to take a mediation training class. But what happens next? During this session, experienced mediators will discuss the business models used in the practice of mediation — from working with a law firm, working solo, working with a large mediation firm, and working with a court-appointed mediation program. Building and sustaining a mediation practice will also be discussed, including marketing, pricing, insurance, continuing education, and skill development.

Clients of immigration attorneys are not familiar with the U.S. legal system, so they are unaware of their rights most of the time. Dedication to ethical conduct and adherence to ethics rules are fundamental to our professionalism. A lawyer new to immigration practice quickly learns that it involves far more than completing forms for submission to the government or guiding a foreign national through an administrative hearing."
