Navigating intellectual property in the era of artificial intelligence has never been more complex. This presentation provides a introduction to IP fundamentals, covering patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, while exploring how the rapid adoption of AI is reshaping ownership, authorship, and infringement analysis. Attendees will gain practical insights into emerging risks and strategies that IP lawyers are using to advise clients in this evolving landscape.

This CLE examines the importance of bar service and its role in advancing the legal profession. Participants will learn how leadership, committee involvement, and community engagement strengthen professional skills, expand networks, and promote access to justice, while offering practical guidance on meaningful and sustainable ways to serve at every stage of practice.

On-site Registration Policy: It is the policy of the LSBA that NO CASH shall be accepted for any transaction. Payment may be made by personal check or via the LSBA registration portal if open on the day of registration.
