LSBA Announces Plans for 2018 CLE Cruise on the Danube River The LSBA’s CLE Cruise on the Danube River will be Saturday, Dec. 8, through Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.The "Magical Christmas Markets" cruise will sail from Vienna to Nuremberg aboard the elegant AmaCerto. The cruise will also include stops in Dürnstein/Wachau Valley (with an optional excursion to Melk), Linz (with an optional excursion to Salzburg), Passau and Regensburg. Embrace the holiday spirit in Germany and Austria where many Christmas traditions began! Visit the the giant sparkling Christmas tree at the Schönbrunn Palace market in Vienna. Enjoy a wine tasting in a local cellar in Dürnstein. Indulge in a decadent slice of the ever-popular Linzer Torte. Join a guided bike ride in Passau, a fairytale-like city along the Danube River. Sample some of Bavaria’s famous specialties: beer, sausage and pretzels. Watch craftsmen make their unique arts and crafts at Thurn and Taxis Castle, one of Germany's most beautiful and romantic Christmas Markets. Browse through more than 100 red and white canvas-topped booths offering an assortment of unique treasures, toys and seasonal goodies at Nuremberg’s Christkindlesmarkt.
