Approved for 6.25 hour(s) of Appellate Practice Law AND Family Law specialization credit!

Registration: 8:00 a.m.
Seminar: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Practitioners are increasingly aware of the unique challenges and opportunities in the realm of appellate advocacy. Join seminar chairs JUDGE SYLVIA COOKS and THOMAS FLANAGAN, ten (10) sitting appellate judges, and several leaders of the appellate bar for an in-depth, practical examination of  appellate practice in Louisiana. Through a series of panel discussions, esteemed judges from the Louisiana Third, Fourth, and Fifth Circuits--and the U.S. Fifth Circuit-- will discuss what works (and what doesn’t work) in the areas of writ practice, federal appellate practice, brief-writing, and oral argument. Along the way, panelists offer a lively discussion with the clerks of court.
