House of Delegates to Consider Four Resolutions at Jan. 24 Meeting The Louisiana State Bar Association’s (LSBA) House of Delegates will consider four resolutions and other business items at its Midyear Meeting scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel.The House will consider four resolutions: Resolution from the Bar Governance Committee proposing to amend the Bylaws to increase the penalty for late payment of dues from $50 to $100. Resolution from the Young Lawyers Division Council to amend its Bylaws to conform to LSBA Bylaws, to provide clarification, and to align with current structure and operations. Resolution from the Outreach Committee to sunset the committee as a standing committee of the LSBA and to amend the Bylaws accordingly. Resolution from the House of Delegates Task Force to reduce the size of the House of Delegates, and to amend the governing documents accordingly. The House will also elect delegates to committees. Election of one member to serve a three-year term on the House of Delegates Liaison Committee, to commence at the conclusion of the 2026 Annual Meeting and end at the conclusion of the 2029 Annual Meeting. This member shall be elected from House of Delegates members representing the 20th through 42nd Judicial Districts. Election, from the three Liaison Committee members, of a chair of the House of Delegates Liaison Committee for 2026–27 whose term will commence at the conclusion of the 2026 Annual Meeting.
