New Dates Announced for 2027 LSBA Midyear Meeting
The Louisiana State Bar Association’s 2027 Midyear Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 27 through Friday, Jan. 29, 2027. Please note that these dates differ from previous years. The meeting agenda was adjusted to avoid scheduling conficts and accommodate meeting and hotel availability at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel (7000 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge).
The House of Delegates meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan 29, 2027. Members planning to attend should update their calendars with the new dates and be aware that additional meeting details will be posted as they become available.
Resolution Deadline for House of Delegates Meeting
The Louisiana State Bar Association’s (LSBA) House of Delegates meeting is set for 9 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2027. This meeting is held in conjunction with the LSBA’s Midyear Meeting, January 27-29, 2027.
The deadline for submitting resolutions for the House of Delegates meeting is Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2026. Resolutions by House members and committee and section chairs should be sent to LSBA Secretary Bradley J. Tate, c/o Louisiana Bar Center, 601 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, LA 70130-3404. All resolutions proposed to be considered must be received on or before Dec. 29, 2026. Resolutions must be signed by the author. Also, copies of all resolutions should be emailed in MS Word format to LSBA Governance Coordinator Jen France at
jen.france@lsba.org.
Free Photo Bar IDs offered at Midyear Meeting
During this year’s Midyear Meeting, the LSBA is offering free Photo Bar IDs to members who have not previously been issued a card. Attorneys must be in good standing to receive a Photo Bar ID.
